This truck was purchased by the Randolph Rural Volunteer Fire Department in conjunction with funds from the city of Randolph. The fire department has 25 volunteer members and is under the direction of Chief Paul Leiting. The department covers 127 square miles that includes 2 major highways, the city of Randolph and the rural areas surrounding in 3 counties. Randolph also gives mutual aid to numerous other agencies that surround them. The chassis is a 2009 ford F-550, 4x4. The body is an all aluminum 10’ Rescue/Combo Style body with Gortite roll up doors. It has a 300 gallon poly tank with a 10 gallon foam cell and a 12000# winch. This is the first truck of its kind to the fire department. It is our first unit to supply air pack seats for car/structure fires, along with ample storage for all our rescue tools. It also holds 150 foot of one inch booster hose for grass fires. Our first call with the truck was a car fire; we arrived on scene way before the big pumpers and tankers, and had the fire out in no time. The people of UNRUH FIRE went above and beyond what we expected; this truck will proudly serve our department for many years to come.

Reed City, Michigan


This quick attack truck was purchased by the Reed City Fire Department located in Reed City, Michigan. Reed City Fire Department is a part paid, rural department with 20 members that has a first due population of approximately 5,600 people covering 90 square miles. The Reed City Fire Department runs approximately 400 calls per year. Services provided by the Reed City Fire Department include fire prevention, fire suppression, vehicle extrication and medical first responder. This quick attack truck was built on a 2009 GMC 5500, four door 4x4 chassis, with a seating capacity of four. The body is an all aluminum 12’6” Rescue/Combo style body with Gortite brushed aluminum roll up doors. Water is supplied by a 400 gallon UPF tank using a Darley 2-½ AGE 26 L/D pump. The unit includes 10 gallons of “Class A” foam using the Foam Pro 1601 system. Other options included are a Smart Power 6K watt PTO operated hydraulic generator, adjustable shelving, rear “911” SCBA seating, locking medical cabinet between rear SCBA seats, Whelen lighting, Four (4) 500 watt FRC 110 volt “Pull Up” lights, Two (2) 12 volt 500,000 candle power Go-Light search lights and a Warn 9500 lb multi-mount portable winch. The Reed City Fire Department is under the direction of Chief Jim Decker.
Purdy, Missouri


This truck was purchased by the Purdy Fire Protection District located in Purdy Mo. Purdy has a population of approximately 1350 people and is an all Volunteer department specializing in EMS, EMT, Paramedic, ALS and 1st responder.The chassis is a 2008 GMC 5500, 4x4, Alison Automatic.The body is an all aluminum 12’6” Rescue/Combo style body with Gortite brushed aluminum roll up doors. Water is supplied by a 400 gallon UPF tank with a Darley 31hp liquid cooled diesel pump. Other options included were a Harrison 10K PTO generator, Slide master slide trays, adjustable shelving, TFT front nozzle, Code 3 lighting, Hydraulic hose reels, Electric cord reel, Kussmaul Auto Eject charger, Warn 16.5 winch, and a replacement front bumper.
The 15 Emergency personnel and 12 Firefighters are under the direction of Chief Mike Redshaw.

Dona Ana Volunteer Fire Department Dona Ana County, District One (there are 16 Fire Districts in Dona Ana County, New Mexico that serve a large county, with approximately 325 Firefighters...all volunteer)New Mexico
We are the busiest of the 16 Districts, with the smallest total area (30 square miles), but the largest population. (approximately 25k people) We average 1500 calls a years, with the majority of them being EMS calls. Mutual aid is automatic with three surrounding Districts, including the City of Las Cruces, which is the second largest city in NM. 25 Members. One station with 5 apparatus bays. 3 Class A Engines, One 2000 Gallon Tanker, One Brush Truck, One Command Unit, and One Utility Truck.
The Unruh apparatus will be the first out (primary) unit on all EMS/Vehicle Accident incidents. It will run on all Mutual Aid EMS/MVA's and carry's all the extrication, high angle, and swift water rescue equipment.
Since it's delivery last month, it has already responded to over 120 incidents.
Arvada, Colorado


Honda plant, Indiana

The New Honda Civic Plant in Greensburg Indiana took delivery of a 2008 Sterling Bullet 5500 crew cab 4x4 with a 19,000# GVW. The rescue body sits on a 60” CA chassis. Brushed aluminum Gortite roll up doors, a Code 3 emergency light package, 2- coffin style tread plate boxes, a 110v. Command Light, a Honda EG3500 generator, a Warn 9.5 removable winch, 2- 911 SCBA seats, and polished aluminum wheels. The skid unit has a 300 gallon UPF tank w/ a 10 gallon integrated foam cell, a Honda 18hp motor, Darley Fast Foam 50 proportioner, and a preconnect hose tray w/extra hose storage, Elkhart ¼ turn valves.
This truck will provide fire protection, medical and hazmat response to the new manufacturing facility.

Holton, Kansas


The Holton Kansas Fire Department recently took delivery of a 2007 Unruh Fire Rescue truck. The chassis is a 2007 GMC, Crew Cab, 4x4 with an 8.1L gas engine and an Allison EVS 1000 automatic transmission. The body is a 12’6” all aluminum Rescue style with Gortite roll up doors. Other features include: 14 Slidemaster slide trays, 10K Harrison PTO driven hydraulic generator, FRC telescoping scene lights, 3 Hurst rescue reels, 2 Hurst electric cord reels, Oil dry hopper, Code 3 LED light package, SS wheel covers, custom console, Stream light flash lights w/ chargers and custom graphics.
Holton is located in Jackson County and has a population of approximately 4000. The 26 member volunteer department is under the direction of Chief Tony Raaf. This is the second truck that Holton has purchased from Unruh Fire, the first was a Brush truck put into service in the 2005.
Ft Shafter, Hawaii

The U.S. Army located at Ft Shafter Hawaii, recently took delivery of 5 Unruh Fire Quick Attack vehicles. The trucks are 2008 Ford F550, 4x4, diesel, automatic.
The Quick Attack body is made entirely of air craft grade aluminum and features Gortite aluminum roll up doors. Other features include 400 gallon UPF poly tanks, Darley 26hp diesel pumps, Code 3 LED light packages, full replacement front bumpers, Warn M12000 winches, custom consoles, SS wheel covers and Nerf bar running boards.
From the fire department:
We picked up the trucks on 22 October 2007 at the Sand Island processing center. The next day we were on a fire that continued for four days. The trucks have been working out really great and we are completely satisfied with the package. Plenty of storage space and the pump has proven to be really strong and reliable. The other fire departments (structure guys) are filled with envy when we pull up on an incident and their big structure trucks can't access the smaller roads.

The Van Vleet Mississippi Volunteer Fire Department recently took delivery of a 2007 GMC 5500, Crew Cab Rescue Truck. The truck features a 12’ all aluminum rescue body with Gortite aluminum roll up doors, 300 gallon UPF tank w/ 10 gallon foam cell, CET CAFS pump, Code 3 emergency light package, Warn 16.5 front mount winch, custom built front bumper, FRC telescoping scene light, Garmin GPS, Alcoa aluminum wheels, 911 SCBA seats, TFT nozzles, custom built console.
The Van Vleet Volunteer Fire Department is a rural community department located in Chickasaw County. The department has been in operation since 1994. They cover 64 sq miles of the rolling hills of Northeast Mississippi. They also serve as first-in mutual aid to three other county departments.

Nash, Oklahoma

The Nash Oklahoma Volunteer Fire Department recently took delivery of a 2007 Unruh Fire Brush Truck. The base of the truck is a 2007 Ford F550, regular cab, 4x4, diesel. The all aluminum brush body features a 24" cross walk with saloon style gates, top mount pump controls and (2) 24" under body tool boxes.
Other options included: Alcoa aluminum wheels, 400 gallon UPF tank with foam cell, Darley 18hp pump, Darley fast foam, Hannay aluminum booster reel, Code 3 light and siren package, full replacement front bumper w/Warn #12000 winch, FRC tank level gauges and a Elkhart Sidewinder front bumper nozzle w/joystick controls located inside the cab.
The Nash Fire Department is located in Northern Oklahoma and is an all volunteer department with 27 members. They protect and area of 250 sq miles and provide mutual aid to a United States Air Force installation. The department specializes in EMS, Wildland and Heavy Rescue.
The department is under the direction of Chief Larry Cokeley along with Assistant Chief's Miles Dershem and Dale McCart.
Hobbs, New Mexico

The Hobbs New Mexico Fire Department recently took delivery of (2) Unruh Fire Brush trucks. The trucks were based on 2006 Ford F550 regular cab, 4x4, diesel, automatic chassis. The all aluminum Brush body features a full cross walk with top mount pump controls and saloon style self closing gates. The skid unit consists of a 400 gallon poly tank with a 10 gallon foam cell, Darley 18hp gas pump, Hannay aluminum booster reel and a 3 gallon fuel tank.
Other options included, Code 3 emergency lighting, full replacement front bumper with a #12000 Warn winch, Elkhart Sidewinder nozzle with joy stick remote controls, 100' of 1" boostlight hose, 100' of 1.5" hose, 10' forestry line in cross walk, stainless steel wheel covers, Nerf bar style running boards, custom console inside cab, and under body storage boxes.
The Hobbs Fire Department was founded in 1929. A diverse workforce of 70 dedicated men and women. The members provide Fire Suppression, Fire Prevention, Emergency Medical Response Services, Advanced Life Support, Hazardous Materials Response, Airport Rescue and Firefighting, SWAT Medic and much more. A response area of 171 sq miles in Fire and 1200 sq miles in EMS the department houses 5 engines, 6 ambulances, 1 heavy rescue, 1 61' shy boom, 1 85' aerial, 4 wild land units and 1 6500 gallon tanker. Their main focus is geared towards the citizens they serve while striving to provide the highest quality of service. Hobbs, New Mexico

Hobbs Fire Department located in Hobbs New Mexico took delivery of a new Brush truck. The 2005 Unimog chassis is an all wheel drive, Mercedes Benz powered truck and also features and air inflation system which allows the operator to control the air pressure to all 4 tires from inside the cab.
The all aluminum Brush body features a cross walk directly behind the cab which is where the top mount pump controls are located. Other features included are: 1000 gallon UPF poly tank, 20 gallon foam cell, Darley diesel 26hp pump, Darley Fast Foam, 2 Hannay booster reels, TFT Tornado remote controlled front nozzle, Warn 16,500 lb winch and Code 3 LED lighting.
Hobbs is located in the far Southeastern corner of the state and has a population of approximately 40,000. The department specializes in EMS/Emergency, ALS, Water/Ice Rescue and HAZMAT. The 70 person department is under the direction of Chief Manuel Gomez.

Ashdown, Arkansas


The Ashdown Arkansas Fire Department recently took delivery of a new, 2006 Unruh Fire Rescue truck. The finished unit is based on a 2006 Ford F550, crew cab, 4x4 diesel with a 5 speed automatic transmission. Inside the cab is a custom built console that houses the controls for all of the emergency lighting, siren, door ajar warning lights and storage for gloves and map books. The body is an all aluminum rescue type body with Gortite roll up doors, LED compartment lighting, roll out trays and adjustable shelving. The front and middle compartments are full transverse allowing for a wide array of storage options.
On top of the body is 3 additional compartments that are accessed from the rear providing storage for ladders, long tools and spine boards. The rear compartment houses an Amkus electric rescue power unit and 2 rescue reels with 100' of hose each along with a slide tray for rescue tool storage.
Other options that were included are chrome wheel simulators, nerf bar style running boards, a full replacement front bumper with a Warn #12000 winch, 3000 watt honda generator, a 3500 watt 110V inverter and a small refrigerator. Code 3 lighting was used through out including LED's on all four sides and an MX7000 light bar.
Ashdown Arkansas in located in the far Southwest part of the state just north of Texarkana and is under the direction of Chief Steve Jones.
Liberal, Kansas

The Liberal Fire Department located in Liberal Kansas took delivery of a Rescue truck on July 26th, 2006. The chassis is a 2006 Ford F550 crew cab, 4x4 with a 6.0 Power stroke diesel and automatic transmission.
The body is an all aluminum Rescue with Goretite roll up doors, LED compartment strip lighting, adjustable shelves and slide trays. The skid unit consists of a 300 gallon APR poly tank with 10 gallon foam cell, Darley 2½ AGE 26LD diesel pump, Darley Fast Foam, Oil-less primer for drafting, Hannay aluminum booster reel with 200' of 1" boostlight, 150' of 1.75" pre connect, Elkhart brass valves, TFT nozzles, FRC tank level gauges on the pump panel and in cab and an Elkhart Sidewinder bumper nozzle located on the front bumper with a joy stick control located in the cab.
Other options included are a full replacement front bumper with a #12,000 Warn winch, Honda 5000W generator, Willburt Night Scan telescoping 12V light tower with Auto Stow, Knox Box Sentra Lock, Motorola CDM1250 radio, Little Giant ladder, tow package with brake controls, ground lighting, Hannay rescue reel with 100' of 10,000 psi hose, Alcoa aluminum wheels and stainless steel Nerf bars.
Liberal is located in Southwestern Kansas with a growing population of 20,000. The department runs an average of 1,500 calls per year. Liberal Fire Department is a combination department of 30 members and is under the direction of Chief Jim Fisher.
Hutchinson, Kansas

Unruh Fire recently provided fire fighting equipment for the 2006 Men's U.S. Senior Open Championships held at Prairie Dunes Golf Course in Hutchinson Kansas July 3-9. The Attack Pumper shown is a 2006 GMC 5500 4x4 with a 500 gpm pump, attack CAFS, 500 gallons of water and an all aluminum Rescue Body.
The Kawasaki Mule shown is a 2006 Model 3010 4x4. It has a 60 gallon poly tank, Darley Davey 9 hp gas pump, Hannay booster reel, Whelen LED light bar and an all aluminum storage box located on top of the tank. The entire unit is built on an aluminum skid for easy removal.
Murray,Kentucky

The Murray Fire Department located in Murray Kentucky recently took delivery of a 2006 Unruh Fire Rescue truck. the chassis is a 2006 Ford F550 Crew cab 4 x 4 with a 6.0 Power stroke diesel and automatic transmission. The body is an all aluminum 10' rescue with Goretite painted rollup doors. Other options include a full array of slides and trays, FRS 12V telescoping scene lights and a full replacement front bumper with a #12000 Warn winch. The body also has an additional 12" "pillow top" on top which doubles as extra storage and added roll over protection and is accessed from the rear through 3 fold up hinged doors. Murray is located in Calloway County and specializes in EMS/Emergency, HAZMAT and Heavy Rescue.
Murray has a population of 14,275 and is covered by 29 full time paid firefighters. The department is under the direction of recently appointed Fire Chief Michael Skinner.
Guide Rock, NE

The Guide Rock Nebraska Fire Department recently took delivery of an Unruh Fire Brush/Rescue combo truck. The truck is based on a 2006 GMC5500 4 wheel drive crew cab. The chassis is equiped with a DuraMax diesel engine with a Allison EVS3000 automatic transmission. The all aluminum body features a full cross walk with top mount pump controls, aluminum roll up doors and compartment lighting. The truck has a 400 gallon APR poly tank with a 10 gallon foam cell, Darley 2½ AGE 26HP diesel pump and Darley Fast Foam. Other opitions include a full replacement front bumper, #12000 Warn winch, FRC scene lights, Code 3 light package, Hannay booster reel and TFT nozzles. Guide Rock is an all Volunteer department located in the southern part of the state. They cover 153 square miles with 30 members and are under the direction of Chief Dan Shipman.
Kearny, NE

The Kearney Nebraska Vol. Fire Department recently took delivery of a 2005 Unruh Fire Brush Truck. The truck was based on a 2005 Ford F550 4x4 chassis with a 6.0 Power Stroke diesel engine. The brush body was made entirely of aluminum. The body featured a full cross walk directly behind the cab providing 2 work stations for firefighting. All of the pump controls are located in the cross walk allowing the firefighters to remain on the truck during firefighting operations. Other features included a 400 gallon UPF poly tank, Darley 2-½AGE 26 L/D pump, Code 3 lighting, full replacement front bumper with a Warn #12000 winch, (1) 1" whip line located in the cross walk, (1) 1½" pre connect, Hannay Booster reel with 200' 1" boost light hose, 2½" intake, 1½" tank fill, under body storage boxes, chrome wheel covers and chrome stainless steel nerf bars.
Kearney Nebraska is a city with a population of 67,500. The Fire Department is a combination department and is under the direction of Chief Mike Martinosky.
Rose Hill, Kansas

The Butler County Fire District #3 just recently took delivery of an Unruh Fire Rescue Truck. The body is based on a 2005 Ford F-550 crew cab, 4x4, 6.0 power stroke diesel. The body is constructed entirely of aluminum tubing and is covered with apparatus grade aluminum tread plate. The main features of the body include a dual slide tray in the front traverse compartment that is usable from both sides of the body. The center compartments feature a fully adjustable tray for tool storage. The rear compartments feature a full extension slide tray that can be used for either a generator or a rescue tool power unit. The rear center compartment features 48" wide x 96" long, full extension slide tray that carries a 1000 lb load rating. Other features include 2 SCBA bottle compartments located in the fender wells, Code 3 light package, full tow package, front brush guard with Warn #12000 winch and custom graphics. Fire District #3 is a paid/volunteer department located in Rose Hill, Kansas and serves a population of 8000. The department is under the command of Chief Dan Armstrong.
Holdrege, Nebraska

The Holdrege Nebraska Fire Department recently took delivery of a 2004 Unruh Fire Brush Truck. The truck is based on a 2004 Ford F-450, 4 wheel drive, crew cab chassis. The body is built entirely of aluminum and features fire fighting compartments at the front of the body with dual swing gates allowing the fire fighters to ride while fighting grass fires. The pump is powered by an Isuzu 3 cylinder diesel motor and is plumbed to 2 Hannay booster reels, 1 forestry line and 1 clean up line. The booster tank is an UPF Defender 2C 300 gallon. All controls are located on a drivers side mounted pump panel. Other features are a replacement front brush guard with a Warn #12000 winch, tow package, Whelan LED light bar and Code 3 LED marker lights and controls. Holdrege is a community with a population of 5,500 and is all volunteer. The department is run by Chief Jim Wagner.
Fort Shafter, Hawaii

The US Army Garrison at Fort Shafter Hawaii recently took delivery of a 2004 Unruh Fire Brush Truck. The truck is based on a 2004 Ford F-550, 4 wheel drive, regular cab chassis. The body is built entirely of aluminum and features a full cross walk at the front of the bed allowing fire fighters to ride while fighting fires. All of the pump controls and valves are located in the cross walk area on top of the tank and gives the fire fighter the ability to control all lines and pump functions with out leaving the truck. The tank is a Pro Poly 400 gallon. The unit features a Hale 26 hp diesel pump with a Hale 1.0 foam system and a 12 gallon class A foam cell. Other features are a full replacement front brush guard, #12000 Warn winch, Hannay booster reel with 100’ of 1” booster line, 100’ of 1½” pre-connect, 10’ of 1” forestry line in the cross walk, Code 3 light package, night vision rear view camera and monitor and a set of super single rear wheels with Michelin tires (not pictured). Task Force Tip nozzles. The department is run by Chief George Wilder.
