Randolph, NebraskaRandolph, Nebraska

This truck was purchased by the Randolph Rural Volunteer Fire Department in conjunction with funds from the city of Randolph. The fire department has 25 volunteer members and is under the direction of Chief Paul Leiting. The department covers 127 square miles that includes 2 major highways, the city of Randolph and the rural areas surrounding in 3 counties. Randolph also gives mutual aid to numerous other agencies that surround them.  The chassis is a 2009 ford F-550, 4x4. The body is an all aluminum 10’ Rescue/Combo Style body with Gortite roll up doors. It has a 300 gallon poly tank with a 10 gallon foam cell and a 12000# winch. This is the first truck of its kind to the fire department. It is our first unit to supply air pack seats for car/structure fires, along with ample storage for all our rescue tools. It also holds 150 foot of one inch booster hose for grass fires. Our first call with the truck was a car fire; we arrived on scene way before the big pumpers and tankers, and had the fire out in no time. The people of UNRUH FIRE went above and beyond what we expected; this truck will proudly serve our department for many years to come.

Thank you.

Bashan, Ohio

Bashan, OH

My name is Don. I am with the Bashan Volunteer Fire Department of Meigs county Ohio. We are a small fire department of 20 members covering about 70 sq. miles. Because of our size and the fact that there are 3 other fire departments near us that have large Fire Engines we chose to look more towards a medium size 4x4 engine with more of a first responder attitude.
We found just the thing in the Quick Attack Pumper from UNRUH FIRE INC. It is a GMC 4x4 with a Hale shark attack bottle operated CAFS system, a 500gal water tank and a 20gal foam tank. The pump has a 500gal a minute capacity. The truck boasts quite a few storage compartments with roll up doors which make it very easy to store all the equipment we can put on it. There are two pre-connected 1 ½ lines and a connected booster reel out the back. As well as two 2in discharges. It also has two 5in and one 2 ½ in suction connections. All this makes for just the Apparatus we were looking for.
Shortly after we received the truck there was a large brush fire in which 5 departments were called to. The only way into the burning area was a steep rugged logging road. The other departments only had 4x4 pick-ups equipped with small make shift tanks and garden hoses with small motorized pumps. Our new Attack Pumper proved to be just exactly what was needed in that we were able to not only fight the fire with our booster hose but was also able to refill the other brush trucks and ATV’s being used saving them quite a bit of time because they didn't’t have to travel back and forth on that logging road to be refilled.
This fire proved exactly why we purchased this particular apparatus which has been talked about by all the departments in the county as well as some members of the State Fire Academy. The people at UNRUH FIRE really did build a fire truck that is just what these fire men were looking for.
Thank you and be safe.

We picked up the trucks on 22 October 2007 at the Sand Island processing center. The next day we were on a fire that continued for four days.
The trucks have been working out really great and we are completely satisfied with the package. Plenty of storage space and the pump has proven to be really strong and reliable. The other fire departments (structure guys) are filled with envy when we pull up on an incident and their big structure trucks can't access the smaller roads.

Thanks for the quality product,
